Another tremendously successful CTK show!

Oliver the musical sold out and the feedback from all the audience has been outstanding. Students worked so hard and it was an absolute pleasure to witness such great talent on the stage.
Y7 Leah Hutchinson played Oliver and won audiences over with her endearing charm. Grace Hodgett-Young had people grinning from ear to ear as her portrayal of The Artful Dodger was faultless. Lennon Bradley rose to the challenge with such natural musicality and delivered a fantastic performance as Fagin. Bria Anderson’s super strong performance as Nancy made the audience reach for the tissues as there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. James West and Bridie Garofalo have to be commended for their brilliant comical performances of The Sowerberrys. Aiden McCullough’s performance as Sykes was enough to scare anyone. James Akers was a tremendous Mr Bumble and was partnered by Ally Bartley who played a fantastic Mrs Bumble. We wish ‘Good Luck’ to Aiden and James as this was their last ever school production.
All this talent was supported by an exceptional ensemble. Their commitment to the whole process has been fabulous. For a lot of students involved, this was their first show and they should be very proud of they achieved. And of course, the hard working cast cannot do it without the superb talents of CTK’s band. We are very lucky and feel extremely proud to be able to have a school show which incorporates a live school band.
A huge thank you to all staff and students involved in Oliver.
“The best show…ever!” Carlo Cuomo, Headteacher
“I was literally ‘blown away’. My face is aching from smiling all the way through the performance – which I believe was good enough to go to the West End!” – Reg Carter, Governor.
