Welcome to Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy community. As a Catholic Academy we pride ourselves on providing an excellent educational experience for all students which is underpinned by our mission which is ‘to provide the best education and care we can for all members of our Living Faith Community’.

Many visitors comment on the harmonious atmosphere which prevails and indeed during our recent OFSTED inspection, the inspectors commented on the extremely positive relationships which exist between staff and students. In each of the categories for inspection, Christ the King was categorised as being a ‘Good’ School. I firmly believe that the report truly highlights our determination to uphold our mission as an educational community which continues to strive for excellence in our pastoral, emotional and spiritual care as well as academic performance.

This year, we celebrate the ‘year of mercy’. This is an opportunity for all members of the Christ the King community to receive God’s mercy so that we can forgive others and enjoy a period of spiritual renewal. The ‘year of mercy’ exemplifies our desire to support and encourage all young people within our care and I hope that when you visit us, you will witness this important aspect of everyday school life.

Regarding the website itself, may I encourage you to have a look at the news items as they celebrate the most recent achievements of both students and staff and if you have not visited the school before, the ‘prospective parent’ section has been designed to answer any questions or queries that you may have. If you would like to visit the school or have any questions about the information published on the website, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

Best Wishes

Carlo Cuomo, Principal
