Year 6 Open Evening

Thursday 21st September 2023

We are delighted to be able to invite prospective parents, carers and students to our annual Year 6 Open Evening which will be held on Thursday 21st September. This is a wonderful opportunity to see our vibrant Catholic community in action, meet staff and current students and see a variety of student learning experiences.

There will be a welcome from the Headteacher, Jo Love at 5.30pm, followed by an opportunity to walk around the school between 6.00pm and 7.30pm.

Year 6 Open Mornings

See our school at work

There is also an opportunity to visit Christ the King School during our Open Mornings. This gives parents and students the chance to see our school at work and thus see the typical learning experienced by our students. The open mornings will start at 9.10am and comprise of a tour of the school as well as the opportunity to ask questions and should last approximately one hour.

Our Partner Primary Schools are invited to attend their open morning on the following days:

  • St Margaret Clitherow and Holy Cross – Monday 25th  September
  • Sacred Heart – Tuesday 26th September
  • The Good Shepherd – Wednesday 27th September

All other schools are invited to attend an open morning on the following days:

  • Thursday 28th  September
  • Friday 29th September

If you would like to attend one of our open mornings, or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Please be aware that spaces are limited so please book early.

To apply for a student place at Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy, please complete the application form online with your Home Council, (who you pay your council tax to). You will also need to complete the OLOL School Supplementary Form, which should be returned directly to Christ the King, with any supporting evidence. This is available on our school website under ‘Admissions’.

Please be aware that if we do not receive the completed Supplementary Information Form and supporting evidence by 31st October, it could result in your child being placed in a lower admission category which may affect your child’s chance of being offered a place.
