School Meals

Providing our students with healthy, attractive and varied food every day

Aspens are our contracted supplier for all our catering requirements at Christ the King. They are committed to providing meals for children with special diets for medical and cultural requirements. If your child has an allergy or special diet requirement it is important that a Special Diet Form is completed and handed in to school. From that all parties will be able to work together to provide a safe, special diet which will be reviewed with every menu change.

It is important that all forms are accompanied with a referral letter or other information from a medical professional (GP/consultant/dietician). This will allow the Operations Manager & Unit Manager to meet the student’s requirement. The form should be handed into the school.

The Special Diet Form can be downloaded via the link below, as can the policy on Allergens.

School Meal Payments

Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy uses Arbor as a means for parents and carers to pay for school meals.  In addition, we are now able to allow for the payments of school trips and other items via this online system.  Please note we no longer accept cash or cheques as the school now operates a cashless system.

Parents are advised that if a food account balance becomes negative (ie. in debt) the student will be allowed to obtain a meal the following day in order to allow time for parent/carers to top up the Arbor balance. However, if the balance is not credited with sufficient funds to clear the debt and cover the cost of the next meal (currently £2.80) then we will not provide a further meal for that student.
