I qualified as a teacher of Religious Studies from Liverpool Hope University in 1999 and joined the Christ the King community in 2002 as Second in RE. During my time at the school, I have held several roles, I have had the great privilege to serve as Headteacher since September 2020.
My role as Headteacher is varied and encompasses all aspects of school life. At the heart of my work is ensuring that Christ the King continues to live out our mission of providing ‘the best education and care for all students in a living faith community’. This means creating an environment where academic excellence, strong pastoral care and the values of the Gospel guide everything that we do.
Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I continue to teach Religious Education and currently teach GCSE and A Level Ethics. Teaching remains an important part of my role as it allows me to stay closely connected to our students and support them as they engage with important questions about morality, belief and how we live out our faith in the modern world.
Christ the King is a very special community, and I feel privileged to work alongside dedicated staff, supportive families and wonderful young people who together make our school such a vibrant and faith-filled place.

I qualified as a teacher of Design and Technology from Nottingham Trent University in 2002. My career in Catholic education began that same year at The Trinity Catholic School, where I spent 18 years serving in various leadership capacities, including Head of Year and Head of Design & Technology. I joined the Christ the King community in 2020 as Assistant Headteacher and have had the great privilege of serving as Deputy Headteacher since September 2024.
My current role as Deputy Headteacher is centered on the Quality of Education. At the heart of my work is a commitment to the strategic development of a knowledge-rich curriculum that provides high aspirations for every student. I am dedicated to ensuring that our school remains a place where academic excellence is paired with the formation and dignity of the human person, guided by the schools mission to provide the best education and care for all in a living faith community.
Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I remain passionate about teaching. My background in Design and Technology and Health and Social Care allows me to stay closely connected to our students, helping them to develop their God-given talents and vocational skills. I believe that teaching is vital to maintaining a purposeful presence within the school and supporting our young people as they navigate their educational journey.
I feel incredibly blessed to be part of a vibrant Catholic school community. It is a privilege to work alongside such dedicated colleagues and supportive families to ensure our students grow in an environment rooted in integrity, excellence, and mutual respect.

As an Assistant Headteacher at Christ the King, I am proud to serve the community that shaped me. Having attended the school as a student, I left having completing my GCSE and A-Levels in 2008, returning as a member of staff has always felt like coming home.
After leaving Christ the King, I went on to study Sports Science at Nottingham Trent University before completing my PGCE at Loughborough University to pursue my passion for teaching PE. I rejoined the school in January 2015, and since then I have taken on a range of roles that have allowed me to contribute to our mission and support our students in meaningful ways.
I hold various responsibilities in my current role, but most importantly I oversee safeguarding. Central to all of this is my belief in the power of strong, trusting relationships. Working closely with students and their families is a priority for me, as these partnerships are vital in helping young people feel safe, supported, and confident in their journey through school.
Serving this community is a privilege, and I am committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and personally.

After qualifying as an English teacher at the University of Nottingham, I joined Christ the King in 1999 and have never looked back! It is a school I feel incredibly proud to be part of.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching a range of subjects, including English, Media, Drama, RE and PSHCE, as well as taking on a variety of leadership roles across the school. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how students learn and reinforced my commitment to high-quality teaching.
I am currently Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Teaching and Learning. In this role, I lead on staff CPD and work closely with colleagues to develop calm, purposeful and inclusive classrooms where all students can thrive. I also line manage a number of curriculum areas, and it is a genuine pleasure to work alongside such talented and dedicated staff.
I am passionate about supporting both staff and students to achieve their full potential. I believe that strong relationships, high expectations and evidence-informed practice are key to ensuring every student succeeds.
Christ the King is a very special community, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside supportive families, committed staff and exceptional young people who make our school such a supportive, ambitious and faith-filled environment.
