Alumni Testimonials
“I gained a huge amount of confidence because of the opportunities available to me at CTK. I found teachers were consistently supportive and encouraging and frequently went above and beyond to support us educationally and pastorally. I also made friends for life who have been essential in supporting me through school and beyond. I had such a positive experience of school, I genuinely loved it and sixth form was no exception. The independence and self-sufficiency expected (whilst support was still available) really set me up for university, all whilst maintaining a very close community feel.”

“For me, the biggest impact came from the school chaplains, who provided pivotal support for me throughout my time. Certain teachers such as my geography teacher, especially in Sixth Form, also have had a lasting impact on me and their support and understanding helped me in building up who I am and where I have got to now, and provided lessons for me that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, such as authenticity, perseverance, and being there for everyone and meeting them where they are.”

“Throughout my time at CTK Sixth Form, the teachers and atmosphere increased my confidence and encouraged me to be more sure of myself and my academic abilities. If not for them, I would have continued to shy away from any opportunities that came my way. I am now, as a result of this, very outgoing and extroverted in class at Uni, and my work ethic is very strong.”

“As well as the academic success the Sixth Form provided, the social impact was just as important. My friendship group was made during my time at CTK and that created lifelong friendships. I loved my time at CTK as I felt like a valued member of the school.”
Laura Lynch-Sandhu, left CTK Sixth Form in 2002
“Despite spending most of Sixth Form at home due to Covid-19, I still loved it and I don’t believe I would have been as motivated if it weren’t for my teachers and peers. After finishing CTK Sixth Form, I’ve gained lots of work experience. I still take part in my acting workshop, since performed in London and I now teach the under 11s group at my acting workshop, which has inspired me to study Primary education with the Open University.”

“I had great teachers who helped me grow and learn. There is also a great sense of community that after meeting new people at Uni, I have learned is something CTK excels at.”
