Health & Social Care

Curriculum Intent

The health and social care sector is diverse, and our curriculum reflects this by exposing students to a variety of issues, settings, and perspectives. Students will explore the diverse needs of individuals across different life stages, cultures, and backgrounds, understanding the impact of social, economic, and environmental factors on health and well-being. By examining case studies from local, national, and global contexts, students will gain a rich understanding of how care practices vary across different societies and how to work inclusively with diverse groups of people. Our aim is for students to be equipped with tools to build fulfilling careers in health and social care, while embodying Catholic values of service, compassion, and respect. They will work towards making a positive contribution to society by providing high-quality, ethical, and compassionate care that prioritises the well-being and dignity of every individual they serve.
