Sixth Form Code of Conduct

Commitment to Attendance

  • Ensure my attendance does not fall below 95%.
  • Attend all lessons, Celebrations of the Word and tutor time, including Core RE and Personal Development.
  • Be punctual for tutor time and all lessons.
  • Inform the school office of any unplanned absences before 8:30 am on the day of absence.
  • Contact my class teachers when I am absent to lessons and catch up on any missed work.

Academic Excellence

  • Be well organised and prepared for all school-based lessons and activities.
  • Respond positively to feedback and use it to support my progress.
  • Use independent study time effectively to complete work, consolidate learning and prepare for future lessons, utilising the common room, Sixth Form Independent Study spaces and the LRC.
  • 9 x timetabled lessons per fortnight = 9 x independent study per fortnight

Role Models of CTK

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, respect the school environment and act as a positive role model within the school community and beyond.
  • Dress sensibly, appropriately and modestly, mindful of younger students in the community.
  • Use my mobile phone discreetly and only within Sixth Form areas.
  • Display a positive attitude to learning.
  • Sign in and out of school and only leave the site during break and lunch times.
  • Conduct myself in a way that demonstrates to younger students the expected values and behaviours of Christ the King community.

Embody Catholic Values

  • Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of Christ the King Sixth Form by participating respectfully in all aspects of Celebrations of the Word and prayers.
  • Serve as a Sixth Form Ambassador within our community, including school and our wider community.
  • Be a leader by leading activities within our Christ the King community, including school and our wider community.
