Year 6 Transition 2020

Please watch the video below which is the the Year 6 Parent’s Information Evening that would normally take place, in school, on the evening of the first transition day.

At Christ the King CVA, we appreciate that the transition process will be worrying for both you and your child, especially in the current climate. With that in mind, we have set up a designated email address for any transition questions which you have in preparation for the transition from primary to secondary school. Please feel free to send through any questions that you have, and we will try our best to answer them. The email address is transition@christtheking.notts.sch.uk.

Whilst we are aware that the current climate will make transition to secondary school different to the usual procedures that would have taken place, we want to assure you that we will be doing everything that we can to ensure that your child has a smooth transition from primary to secondary school. For example, we have still been in contact with each feeder primary school to gain academic and pastoral information about your child in preparation for their move to our school.

Please find below a video which we have created for our future Year 7 students. The video is an introduction to some key staff around school, as well as a virtual tour of most of the school so that your child has an understanding of the key areas when they join us in September. We hope that you find it useful:

We recently sent out parent information packs to each of you which contained a variety of information regarding our school and the expectations of your child when they start with us in September. The pack can also be found below.
